Workflows are task-shaped guides. Instead of documenting Manage Comics feature-by-feature, workflow articles walk you through the real jobs that come up in a comic shop — daily, weekly, and monthly. They're the fastest way to learn the system, because they map directly onto things you're already doing.
If you're new to Manage Comics, start here. Work through the daily workflows first (they're the ones you'll repeat most), then the weekly ones (which tie together most of the system), then the monthly ones.
Daily Tasks
Things you do every day — or every time you're at the counter.
Weekly Tasks
The weekly cycle is the heartbeat of the shop. Each week you get a shipment, check it in, allocate it to your pull customers, invoice, and send customer notifications.
Invoice Orders (Ordo primary — Oryx handles invoicing through your POS)
Update New Releases Collection (Ordo only — Shopify storefront)
Monthly Tasks
Done once a month, usually timed around the distributor solicitation cycle.
How These Fit Together
The daily → weekly → monthly cadence isn't arbitrary. The monthly tasks feed the weekly ones (you order stock monthly, it arrives weekly). The weekly tasks feed the daily ones (customers ask about their pulls daily, based on what came in that week). When you understand one layer, the other two click into place.
If you're ever unsure which workflow you're in the middle of, stop and check the frequency — "am I doing this because it's Wednesday, or because it's the end of the month?" is almost always a clarifying question.
