Reports are how you look back at what your shop has been doing and spot patterns that aren't visible from the day-to-day screens. The list below covers what's available and when to reach for each.
Where to Find Reports
Ordo: Apps → Manage Comics → Reporting.
Oryx: Reporting.
Types of Reports
These are the reports you check regularly to keep the shop running cleanly:
Shortages — titles where you received fewer copies than you ordered. Your reference for distributor-credit recovery.
Subscribed Product Shortages — titles where you don't have enough copies to cover all active subscribers. Your "who doesn't get a book this week" list.
Aged Subscriptions — subscriptions that have been sitting uncollected too long. Your "someone needs to be called" list.
Customers Totals — per-title subscriber counts across your shop. The core measurement of what's moving.
Using Reports Effectively
Make a weekly ritual. Most shops carve out 20 minutes once a week (usually Thursday or Friday, after check-in settles) to walk through the operational reports. That rhythm prevents small issues from turning into month-long backlogs.
Export before you filter. If a report has useful data, exporting it as CSV gives you a historical archive you can return to later. The reports in Manage Comics are live — they reflect the current state. An exported snapshot captures the state at a point in time.
Cross-reference with distributor records. The Shortages report is only as accurate as what you marked during check-in. Spot-check against your distributor invoices monthly to confirm.
Ordo vs. Oryx
Reports are equivalent across both products. The only notable difference: some Ordo reports can be cross-referenced against Shopify analytics for revenue data; Oryx reports are self-contained (Oryx doesn't sit on a larger analytics layer the way Shopify does).
