This article is scoped to exporting customers and subscriptions from ComicSuite. For the full export reference including products, see Exporting Data from ComicSuite.
How to export customers
In ComicSuite, open the Customer module.
Run the customer export report from the Reports menu.
Choose CSV format.
Include columns: customer ID, first name, last name, email, phone, notes, active/inactive flag.
Save the file locally.
How to export subscriptions and pull lists
In ComicSuite, open the Pull List module.
Open the Reports → Pull List Export report.
Include columns: customer ID (to join with the customer file), title, cover variant (if ComicSuite tracks it), start date, notes.
Save the file locally.
Preparing the files for import
Open both files in a CSV-safe editor (see How to Safely Open a CSV in Excel).
Confirm the customer ID column matches between the two files. This is how Manage Comics joins customers to their subscriptions.
Remove deactivated customers and their subscriptions if you do not want them brought over.
Common ComicSuite issues
Character encoding: older ComicSuite installs may default to Latin-1. Re-save as UTF-8 before importing to preserve accented characters.
Phone number formats: ComicSuite accepts many formats; Manage Comics expects 10 digits. Normalize before import.
Duplicate emails: ComicSuite allows them; Manage Comics does not. Deduplicate by merging records in ComicSuite before export when possible.
