Oryx uses its own login at oryx.managecomics.com/users/sign_in — see System Requirements & Login.
Ordo is a Shopify-embedded app, which means "logging into Manage Comics" is really "logging into Shopify and opening the Manage Comics app." This article covers the Ordo login paths for shop owners and staff, what permissions each role needs, and how to recover access.
Shop Owner Login
The shop owner signs into Shopify using the email and password (or other login method) that was used to set up the Shopify account. Once signed in:
Navigate to the Shopify admin at
yourstorename.myshopify.com/admin.Click Apps in the left sidebar.
Click Manage Comics (or Manage Comics Subscriptions).
The shop owner automatically has full access to every Manage Comics feature — there's nothing extra to configure.
Staff Login
For staff to access Manage Comics, the shop owner must grant them a Shopify staff account and give them access to the app.
Shopify admin → Settings → Users .
Click Add users.
Enter the staff member's name and email. Shopify will email them an invitation to set a password.
Under Permissions, enable at minimum:
Apps (to access Manage Comics)
Customers (to view and edit customer records)
Products (to view and edit product records)
Orders (to create and manage orders)
Click Send invite.
Once the staff member accepts the invitation and signs in, they can open Manage Comics from Apps → Manage Comics just like the shop owner.
Two-Factor Authentication
If your Shopify account uses two-factor authentication (strongly recommended for all shops), 2FA applies to Manage Comics automatically — there's no separate Manage Comics 2FA. Configure 2FA from Shopify admin → Settings → Your account (bottom left) → Security.
Session Timeouts
Shopify logs out idle sessions after a period of inactivity. If your Manage Comics screen becomes unresponsive or you see a login prompt when clicking a button, refresh the page — you'll be prompted to re-sign in, and then dropped back where you were.
Forgot Your Password
Password reset goes through Shopify, not Manage Comics. At the Shopify admin login page, click Forgot password? and follow the reset email.
Can't Get Logged In
You're the shop owner and can't sign in: reset your password through Shopify. If that still fails, Shopify support can verify ownership and help recover the account.
You're a staff member and can't sign in: ask the shop owner to confirm your staff account is still active and to resend the invitation if your original one expired.
You signed in but don't see Manage Comics under Apps: your staff account needs the Apps permission. The shop owner can add it under Users and permissions.
Customer, not staff, can't log in to their subscription account: see What to Do if a Customer Can't Log In.
