Do I need Shopify?
For Ordo, yes. Manage Comics installs as an embedded Shopify app and uses Shopify for your storefront, inventory, and checkout. For Oryx, no — it's standalone and pairs with RMH or Lightspeed at the register.
Which POS systems work?
Shopify POS works with Ordo out of the box, since your inventory lives in Shopify. RMH and Lightspeed work with Oryx. Square is not directly supported, and we don't currently integrate with BinderPOS or other POS systems. If you run something else, book a call and we'll talk through the options.
I sell more than comics — games, manga, toys, snacks. Does that work?
Yes. Non-comic products live in your store as ordinary products (in Shopify for Ordo, your POS for Oryx); Manage Comics doesn't interfere with them. What Manage Comics adds is the comic layer: subscriptions, pull lists, FOC ordering, and distributor data. Our product data covers comics from Lunar, Penguin Random House, and Universal — we don't currently carry trading-card or game distributor data, so those products are managed the way you manage them today.
Do products come with cover images?
Yes — checked-in comics arrive with cover images and product data from the distributor feeds.
What countries does it work in?
Ordo works where Shopify does, and stores run Manage Comics across North America, the UK, Europe, and beyond. Currency is handled through the exchange-rate table in Store Settings. If you're unsure about your region, email us before signing up.
How does pricing work?
Ordo is billed monthly through the Shopify App Store — check the listing for current pricing. Additional locations are billed per location, so a two-location store pays twice the single-location rate. See Enabling and Managing Multi-Location.
