This article walks through migrating from Manage Comics Classic to Oryx: export customers and subscriptions from Classic, then upload each into Oryx through Settings.
Step 1 — Export customers from Classic
In Classic, click All Customers.
Click MC 2.0 Export.
Save the file to your Desktop.
Step 2 — Export subscriptions from Classic
In Classic, go to Pull Lists → Customer Pull Lists.
Click MC 2.0 Export.
Save the file to your Desktop.
Step 3 — Send us your files for cleaning
Email both files to help@managecomics.com. Include your shop name and note that you are moving from Classic to Oryx.
You don't need to clean the files yourself — we fix duplicate emails, phone number formatting, and series matching, and flag anything that needs a decision from you before finalizing. The one thing to avoid: do not edit email addresses in the export files. The email is how customers link to their subscriptions. We'll email your cleaned files back, ready to import.
Step 4 — Import customers into Oryx
In Oryx, go to Settings → Import Customers.
Choose the Type of Manage Comics.
Drag your cleaned customer file into the file area.
Click Upload.
You will get a confirmation file you can download and review.
Step 5 — Import subscriptions into Oryx
In Oryx, go to Settings → Import Subscriptions.
Choose the Type of Manage Comics.
Drag your cleaned subscriptions file into the file area.
Click Upload.
You will get a confirmation file you can download and review.
Step 6 — Review customer lists
Go to Customers → Customer Lists to confirm everything came over correctly. Spot-check a handful of customers and confirm their subscription lists match what was in Classic. If the confirmation files show any failed rows, reply to your email thread with them and we'll fix the file.
Oryx-specific notes
Multi-location shops: after import, assign customers to their home locations (see Enabling and Managing Multi-Location).
POS integration: subscription data is now in Oryx, but in-store customer records stay in your POS. See RMH Integration Overview or Exporting Data from ComicSuite.
